The film was written by A.C. Stephen and Ed. D Wood, Jr and directed by AC Stephen. It’s noteworthy as this may be Wood’s last on screen appearance, playing dual cameos as both the gas station attendant and the sheriff (wearing a fake moustache and dark shades). It’s a simple storyline, where five women break out of prison trying to find money one of the girls buried before being sent away. 4 are hardened criminals, the 5th was unjustly con victed. Most of the film is spent with the girls traveling around California, encountering hippies, beating up men and ultimately fighting among themselves. A ‘brilliant’ grindhouse film!
