It's Christmas Eve and cutthroat business executive Calvin Carter, has it all. After he takes over the reins of the family business from his father, Calvin is able to turn it around from being in the red to becoming the number two chain of discount stores in the country. But he neglects those closest to him including his father, brother, son, ex-wife and girlfriend. On Christmas Eve, all that changes when the sign on his office building falls on him. Calvin awakens the next morning in a hospital bed, suffering what he believes is just a severe bump on the head from the previous evening. He's attended to by Angie, a nurse who soon lets him know he has 12 days (and 12 chances) to get his act together and achieve the perfect Christmas Eve. If he doesn't, there will be dire consequences. Calvin wakes up the next morning and quickly realizes he is reliving the same Christmas Eve...déjà vu, all over again but rather than mend his ways, he tries to right what went wrong the previous evening, closing a massive deal for his company. However, Calvin eventually discovers from Angie, the nurse who cares for him at the end of each of these Christmas Eves, that he is running out of his twelve Christmas Eve chances to get the day right, And each successive night, he dies again, his death being more violent than the previous night. He will just not wake up on day thirteen if he did not figure it out. Calvin's problem may be the divide between what he considers getting the day right into actually what it means to get the day right in the true spirit of Christmas.
